I've been using cardiovascular work-out videos for quite a while now, and let me tell you - if you have the right setup and the right attitude, they work every bit as well as an actual aerobics class. For me it's been similar to having my own personal fitness trainer right in my work-out room. Although that is not the experience for some other folks. Many people buy cardio videos, and then leave them sitting there, gathering dust, and never do anything with them, numerous others use them to catapult them-selves into a healthier, more successful life. What is the difference? Why do cardiovascular videos work for some folks, but fail miserably for others? Permit me to me explain.

You see, it isn't specifically about the aerobics videos at all, but it has to do with the person watching them. The principal and most essential thing is that you have the accurate attitude towards fitness that will produce success. You need, from the starting to set reasonable goals and a steady schedule of exercise that will help you be successful in all of your goals, and that is no easy task. That can not come from the cardiovascular videos - it has to come from you. The most vital thing is that you exercise regularly. Doing each cardio video twice every third Sunday won't cut it. Even if you never complete your cardiovascular videos at first, you have to be utilizing them each day or you will not get the highest results from them - you will hardly get any results at all, truth be told. Set realistic goals and stick with them. Think of it as if you do have to report to a fitness trainer. Remember its no good telling your-self that you will do a 2 hour work-out with your cardiovascular videos each day, and then failing straight away. Set small goals, ones you know that you can succeed at, to build confidence.

Equally significant is to have a good room to do your aerobics work-out. If you live in a cramped, one room place with clothing all over the floor, forget it. You can use some cardiovascular videos with less space than you might think, but if you do not at least make some room to move around in, you will never reach any of your exercise goals, and that's a crying shame. The beginning of your cardiovascular work-out is truly setting a time, clearing out a space, and psyching your-self up. Do not expect immediate success from using your cardio videos. It will be hard work. But if you persevere, within a month you will see major changes. Who knows this could be your call to a career in personal training.
